Terms and Conditions & Disclaimer of Face-to-Face Class Bookings

These are the terms and conditions under which Sign + Learn will supply their services to you during and after the time of the CV-19 pandemic. The Ts and Cs related to the CV-19 pandemic are in addition to the standard class Ts and Cs and apply until notified otherwise.

The below has taken into consideration the current Government guidelines. We reserve the right to add to/amend all policies and term and conditions at any time as the Government review guidelines.

All customers are expected to abide by the terms and conditions set out below. Failure to do so will result in customer’s place in class being rescinded. I have completed a CV-19 Risk Assessment which will be available to view at all classes should you wish.

Be assured that your safety and wellbeing is my priority. If there are any additional measures you would like me to put in place other than what is stated below, or if you have any questions, please do get in contact: ioanna@signandlearn.co.uk

All customers are expected to follow current government guidance. Call 111 for guidance and for testing.

  • If you, or your child, have any of the following symptoms or are feeling unwell, please do not come to class: fever a new and continuous cough; loss of taste or smell.

  • If a member of your household has any of the above symptoms, or If you have you knowingly been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 and they are waiting for a test, please do not attend class until the results are known.

  • Please also refrain from coming to class if you, or your child, have any of the following symptoms and these are new and unexplained: shortness of breath; fatigue; loss of appetite; muscles aches and pains; sore throat; headache; nasal congestion; diarrhoea; nausea and vomiting.

  • Customers are expected to follow current government guidance regarding self-isolation requirements upon return to the UK from other countries.

Attending a class

  • Please don’t arrive any earlier than 5 minutes before the class start time. If you are earlier, please do not attempt to enter the building. Please wait outside (socially distanced) until 5 minutes prior to the class.

  • You will be asked to enter and exit the venue one at a time.

  • Please keep personal belongings to a minimum.

  • All door handles and mats will be cleaned between each session.

  • Medical grade hand sanitiser will be provided for use on entrance and exit. If you are unable to use sanitiser for medical reasons handwashing with soap will also be available.

  • Masks must be worn by adults when arriving at and leaving the venue (unless you are mask exempt for medical reasons)

  • Adults will be placed at 2m spacings. Once you are seated adults may remove their mask if they wish.

  • Note, during the class you may be required to go and retrieve your child and move away from your designate mat. If this requires you to come closer to any other participants thus reducing the 2meter spacing rule, you will be required to put on a mask. Please be aware of this if you have a very active child. If your child is very active and you are constantly having to get up to retrieve them you may want to consider wearing a mask throughout the class rather than constantly taking it on and off.

  • Adults will also be required to wear a mask at any pinch points within the venue, eg doorways, toilets, etc. These will have been identified and will be highlighted by the class teacher in the pre-session briefing.

  • Children should be encouraged to maintain a distance from others; however, it is accepted that this is not always possible. Please think carefully about this if your child is on the move and accept that there is a chance they will come into direct contact with other children and possibly other adults too.

  • All adults to adhere to one-way systems when applicable.

  • No toys or food to be brought to class (apart from adults’ bottle of water etc child bottle of milk and a light snack if needed)

  • A register will be taken at each class. This fulfils the requirement for NHS Test and Trace. Information will only be passed on to NHS Test and Trace if full permission is given by the adult (this is a check box on my booking form)

Cancellation policy

The global CV-19 situation is continuously changing and whilst Sign + Learn will make every effort to provide their services, there may be occasions that require amendments:

  • Teacher tests positive with minimal / minor symptoms or has to isolate due to contact with a positive COVID case.

  • Teacher tests positive and experiences serious symptoms including hospitalisation.

Credit will be given for the value of the session(s) missed. This credit is ideally to be used towards the next consecutive course block or a single class (if available).

If for whatever reason you are unable to attend classes in the next consecutive course block, then a refund will be given for any cancelled classes, which will be calculated proportionally to the course fee.

  • Reintroduction of national/ local lockdown with instructions that baby and toddler classes are unable to run during this time. Including if the venue has to close meaning classes will be unable to continue.

Class credits will roll over to when restrictions are lifted and classes can recommence. An option to switch online may be available and this can be discussed if a lockdown is reintroduced.

If for whatever reason you are unable to attend classes in the next consecutive course block, then a refund will be given for any cancelled classes, which will be calculated proportionally to the course fee.

  • Customer (adult or child) tests positive or has to isolate

No refund will be given.

Please remember if you feel unwell with any COVID symptoms

Customers are responsible for their children at all times.

You must not bring your child to a class for at least 48 hours after being clear of any symptoms of illness, sickness or diarrhoea; if in doubt seek medical advice.

Always change your child on the floor using your own changing mat or a designated baby-changing table. Please take away used nappies, unless there is a clearly marked designated nappy bin at the venue.
